Open Question: Does a 97 Eclipse GST need ECM reprogramming?

I have a 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST and my ECM recently died. I found a replacement unit with the exact same numbers on the case (MD335287) (finally took me forever) and I am currently waiting for the item to ship. I was wondering if this ECM will need to be reprogrammed for my car and if so where do I go to get that done. I live in Vermont and any help/insight would be very much appreciated.
